Hin Daeng and Hin Muang: remote pinnacles in the Andaman Sea
Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are two of Thailand's most famous dive sites. Koh Lanta is the closest base to reach them. These remote underwater pinnacles rise from deep water far out in the Andaman Sea, covered in red and purple soft corals.
They're known for manta rays, the chance of a whale shark and big schools of fish. This guide covers exact trip prices from four Koh Lanta dive shops, park fees, certification rules and the best time to go.

Hin Muang: purple, red and lilac soft corals

Hin Daeng: manta rays are most often seen from November to April

| November to April | Best overall conditions and the most manta sightings |
| January to February | Phoenix Divers says these are the best months for mantas |

| Phoenix Divers | Open Water divers with fewer than 50 dives must add a Deep Dive Adventure for ฿1,000. Divers with over 50 dives can join without advanced certification |
| Blue Planet Divers | Certified to at least 30 m, with your last dive within 6 months. A Deep Adventure dive to 30 m costs ฿900 if needed |
