KL Bird Park tickets and visitor guide
KL Bird Park sits in the Perdana Botanical Garden, the old Lake Gardens, in the heart of the city. Time Out says it's home to more than 3,000 free-flying birds across over eight acres.
Here are the latest ticket prices from the official site, the bank and card discounts that cut the price to RM40, and everything you need for your visit.

Discounts: pay RM40 instead of RM50
The official KL Bird Park promotions page lists four deals. Each one cuts the MyKad adult ticket from RM50 to RM40:

Conditions:
- For the Watsons, UOB and HSBC deals, each card covers one adult ticket and one transaction per day.
- KL Bird Park says Petronas Mesra Rewards vouchers are valid for 90 days from download. Each voucher is single-use.
- The bank and Watsons deals are for Malaysians with a MyKad.

Traveloka says its transfer package picks up from selected hotels in the Golden Triangle at 10:00. It needs at least two adults.

Opening hours
KL Bird Park is open daily from 09:00 to 17:30, including public and school holidays.
Some guides list 18:00 as closing time, but the official site says 17:30.

What's inside: the four zones

- Zone 3: Hornbill Park (KL City Guide)
- Zone 4: A walk-in aviary with 20 parrot species (Malaysia.travel), plus the ostriches and emus
KL City Guide suggests allowing 2 to 3 hours.

How to get there

- Hop-On Hop-Off bus: Malaysia.travel says to get off at Station No. 20, in front of the main entrance.
- Grab: KL City Guide suggests a short Grab or taxi ride from KL Sentral.
Visitor rules
KL Bird Park lists these:
- No outside food, but you can bring your own tumbler.
- There are no trams or buggies.
- Wheelchairs and strollers aren't available to rent. Most of the park is wheelchair accessible.
- Luggage storage is available.
- You can enter in the rain, but it isn't advised. Bring an umbrella or raincoat.
Tips for Malaysian travellers
- Use an HSBC or UOB card, or a Mesra voucher, to save RM10 per adult.
- Bring your MyKad. Standard prices are RM40 to RM45 higher.
- Go early. AwayGoWe says only about a third of the park has shade. Bring a hat, sunscreen and water.
- Plan around the 12:30 bird show and have lunch after.
- Halal food: Time Out lists the Hornbill Restaurant & Cafe and refreshment kiosks inside. Look for the JAKIM halal logo. Trip.com also lists Restoran Rebung Chef Ismail, a halal restaurant in Perdana Botanical Garden.
- Watch out for bird droppings at feeding time, as AwayGoWe warns.
